EIB-Y(St)Y Bus Cable for KNX / EIB Building Automation
EIB-Y(St)Y bus cable is a screened PVC communication cable for KNX / EIB building automation applications. ETK Kablo’s 2x2x0.8 configuration combines solid copper conductors with an overall aluminium/polyester foil screen and a green PVC jacket. It forms part of our building automation cable range.
Lighting, HVAC and Shading Control
This EIB cable provides the communication connection between sensors, actuators and controllers in building automation installations. Applications include lighting control, heating and ventilation control, blinds, shading and energy monitoring in residential and commercial buildings.

EIB-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.8 Cable Size
The 2x2x0.8 designation identifies four conductors representing two pairs, with a conductor diameter of 0.8 mm. The specified construction arranges these four conductors as a star quad.

The 0.8 value describes diameter, not a cross-section of 0.8 mm². Specify the complete product designation and required length when requesting a quotation.
Foil Screening and PVC Materials
The overall Al/PET screen surrounds the insulated conductors and includes a tinned copper drain wire. PVC insulation and a UV-resistant green PVC outer jacket complete the cable. Follow the bus system instructions for handling the screen and drain wire during installation.

Can this cable be installed outdoors or underground?
The jacket specification includes UV resistance, but this alone does not establish suitability for direct burial, wet ducts or permanent water exposure. Ask ETK Kablo to confirm the appropriate construction for those conditions.
