YSLY-JZ Cable for Industrial Control and Automation
YSLY-JZ cable is an unscreened flexible control cable with Class 5 copper conductors, PVC insulation and a PVC outer sheath. ETK Kablo manufactures this cable for machinery, control panels and industrial automation. The JZ configuration combines numbered black cores with a green-yellow protective conductor.
Explore the sizes below or browse our control cable range to compare constructions. For project pricing, request a YSLY-JZ cable quotation with your required size and length.
YSLY-JZ Cable Sizes
The table below lists selected YSLY-JZ cable sizes by conductor count and cross-section. For part numbers, dimensions, weights and packing lengths, see the Types section on this page.
Here, the multiplication sign separates the total conductor count from the cross-section of each conductor. For example, YSLY-JZ 4 × 1.5 mm² has four conductors in total, including the protective conductor. In G notation, this configuration is 4G1.5; the green-yellow core is included in the four, not added to them.

Selecting YSLY-JZ for Your Installation
Typical applications include control cabinets, production machinery, conveyor controls and HVAC equipment. Start with the circuit requirements, then check the installation conditions:
- Count the working conductors, protective conductor and any spare cores.
- Choose the cross-section for the load, circuit length and permitted voltage drop.
- Check the cable diameter against glands, connectors and routing space.
- Confirm whether the circuit requires electromagnetic screening.
Flexible conductors help with routing and installation. For continuous movement, drag chains or torsion, specify the motion requirements separately. Likewise, confirm suitability for oil exposure, outdoor routes or chemical contact against the required tests and installation conditions.
YSLY-JZ Compared with Other Control Cables
| Cable | Selection Difference |
|---|---|
| YSLY-JZ | Unscreened PVC construction with numbered cores and a green-yellow protective conductor. |
| YSLY-OZ | Numbered cores without a green-yellow protective conductor. |
| YSLY-JB | Colour-identified cores with a green-yellow protective conductor. |
| YSLCY-JZ | Includes a copper braid screen for circuits that require electromagnetic screening. |
| YSLYCY-JZ | Includes a PVC inner jacket, copper braid screen and PVC outer jacket. |
| HSLH-JZ | Unscreened control cable with halogen-free insulation and sheath materials. |
State the full cable designation when ordering. Core identification, screening and sheath material are separate selection requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions About YSLY-JZ Cable
What does JZ mean?
J indicates a green-yellow protective conductor, while Z indicates numbered cores. Include the protective conductor when calculating the total core count.
Is YSLY-JZ cable screened?
No. Select a screened construction, such as YSLCY-JZ or YSLYCY-JZ, when the circuit specification requires a copper braid screen.
What is the voltage rating?
The published rating for this ETK Kablo product is 300/500 V. Specify the circuit voltage in your enquiry so the technical team can confirm the appropriate construction.
Does 4G1.5 mean the same core arrangement as four-core JZ cable?
Yes. 4G1.5 denotes four cores of 1.5 mm² each, including one green-yellow protective conductor. Confirm both core identification and cross-section when comparing quotations.
Can I substitute YSLY-JZ for JZ-500 cable?
Compare the specified product’s voltage rating, materials, dimensions, approvals and installation limits before approving a substitution. Similar names alone do not establish full equivalence.
Is YSLY-JZ halogen-free?
No. This product uses PVC. Consider HSLH-JZ when the project requires an unscreened halogen-free control cable.
