RE-2X(St)H Cable for Industrial Instrumentation
RE-2X(St)H cable is an overall foil-screened, XLPE-insulated instrumentation cable with a low-smoke, halogen-free outer sheath. ETK Kablo manufactures this cable for measurement, monitoring and process-control circuits where the specification calls for screened signal wiring and an LSZH sheath.
Part of our instrumentation cable range, this unarmored design uses numbered conductors assembled in layers. It provides a distinct option for projects that require multicore wiring rather than a specified twisted-pair or twisted-triad arrangement.
Applications in Measurement and Process Control
RE-2X(St)H can be specified for connections between field instruments, junction boxes and control equipment. Typical project contexts include manufacturing plants, energy facilities and process automation systems. Selection should follow the connected equipment’s requirements for conductor arrangement, resistance, capacitance and screening.
For PLC, DCS or monitoring circuits, match the cable to the signal interface and installation route. Where an equipment specification requires twisted pairs, triads or individually screened circuits, select the corresponding construction from the instrumentation range.
Overall Screening and LSZH Sheath
An Al/PET foil screen surrounds the assembled cores, with a tinned copper drain wire for screen termination. This arrangement helps reduce coupling from external electrical interference when installed and earthed according to the system design.
The black outer sheath is halogen-free and UV resistant. Smoke, halogen and flame-test references are listed in the Standards section above. Where a project requires a specific CPR classification or continued circuit operation during fire, include that requirement in the enquiry so the appropriate cable and supporting documentation can be selected.
