Cat 6A U/UTP PVC Cable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet
Cat 6A U/UTP PVC cable from ETK Kablo combines four unshielded twisted pairs with 23 AWG solid copper conductors for structured LAN installations. Its electrical performance specifications extend to 500 MHz, and its listed applications include 10GBASE-T Ethernet. This PVC-sheathed product forms part of our Cat 6A U/UTP cable range.
Unshielded Twisted Pairs and Solid Copper Conductors
U/UTP means that neither the individual pairs nor the cable as a whole have a metallic screen. A star-shaped separator keeps the four pairs apart, while solid polyethylene insulation surrounds each conductor. The outer jacket uses UV-resistant PVC.
Use this Cat 6A UTP cable for fixed network links between distribution panels and outlets in offices, commercial buildings and IT facilities. Choose compatible Cat 6A connectors and follow the installation requirements for bend radius, termination and separation from power cabling.
Cat 6A U/UTP PVC Cable Size
| Cable Size | Pair Count | Conductor Count | Conductor Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cat 6A U/UTP PVC 4x2x23 AWG | 4 | 8 | 23 AWG |
The 4x2x23 AWG designation identifies four pairs, two conductors per pair and a conductor size of 23 AWG. For cable diameter, weight and packing lengths, see the Types section on this page.
500 MHz Performance and Network Applications
The cable supports applications specified for 10 Gigabit Ethernet as part of a correctly designed and installed Cat 6A cabling system. Actual link performance depends on the complete channel, including connectors, patch cords, installation quality and length. Verify the installed link against the project requirements.
ETK’s technical sheet also lists Power over Ethernet (PoE). For a PoE installation, confirm the required power level, cable bundle size and ambient temperature during project selection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cat 6A U/UTP the same as Cat 6A F/UTP?
No. U/UTP has no overall screen or individual pair screens. F/UTP uses an overall foil screen around the pairs. Specify the screening construction required by the network design rather than treating these names as interchangeable.
Is the PVC jacket halogen-free?
No. PVC and LSOH are different jacket materials. If the project requires a low smoke, halogen-free jacket, see our Cat 6A U/UTP LSOH Ethernet cable.
Can this cable be used outdoors or buried directly?
The specification lists a UV-resistant PVC jacket. UV resistance alone does not establish suitability for wet ducts, permanent water exposure or direct burial. For outdoor routes, ask ETK Kablo to confirm a cable construction suited to the installation conditions.
