J-H(St)H Lg Cable for Halogen-Free Fire Alarm Wiring
J-H(St)H Lg cable is a screened, halogen-free fire alarm cable for fixed indoor signal and communication wiring. ETK Kablo manufactures this cable with solid copper conductors, halogen-free insulation and a red LSZH outer sheath.
Part of our fire alarm cable range, it serves projects that specify low-smoke, halogen-free materials and an overall metallic screen. Applications include compatible fire detection circuits, security systems, intercom wiring and indoor monitoring equipment.
Screening for Alarm and Communication Circuits
An Al/PET foil screen surrounds the cable core, with a tinned copper drain wire for screen termination. Correct installation and earthing help reduce the effects of external electrical interference on the signal circuits.
The two-pair construction uses a star-quad arrangement, while higher pair counts use pairs assembled in layers. Select the conductor arrangement and size to match the equipment specification, cable route and permitted circuit length.
LSZH and Flame-Retardant Performance
The halogen-free insulation and sheath support installations with specified smoke and halogen requirements. The product documentation lists smoke testing to IEC 61034-2, halogen and corrosive-gas testing to IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2, and flame tests to IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24.
These characteristics do not establish continued circuit operation during fire. Where a project requires FE180 or PH120 performance, consider JE-H(St)H Bd FE180 PH120 fire-resistant cable and confirm its suitability against the project requirements.
J-H(St)H Lg Cable Sizes
The table below lists selected configurations with 0.8 mm diameter conductors. In J-H(St)H Lg 2x2x0.8, the designation identifies two pairs, four insulated conductors and a conductor diameter of 0.8 mm.

The Types section also lists additional pair counts, 0.6 mm and 1.0 mm conductor diameters, and 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² conductor cross-sections. Refer to that section for part numbers, cable diameters, weights and packing lengths.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between J-H(St)H Lg and J-Y(St)Y Lg?
J-H(St)H Lg uses halogen-free insulation and an LSZH outer sheath. J-Y(St)Y Lg fire alarm cable uses PVC insulation and a PVC sheath. Choose the material system specified for the installation.
Does 2x2x0.8 mean a conductor cross-section of 0.8 mm²?
No. The final value is the conductor diameter in millimetres. J-H(St)H Lg 2x2x0.8 contains four insulated conductors in a star-quad arrangement, each with a diameter of 0.8 mm.
Is J-H(St)H Lg a PH120 fire-resistant cable?
The published specification lists flame, smoke and halogen tests, but does not state a PH120 circuit-integrity classification. For circuits that must remain operational during fire, select a cable with the required documented fire-resistance rating.
